Detention center programs and services for adults are available at the TouDouze video visitor center, located at 222 S. Comal in Bexar County. This is two blocks south of the main jail. Inmates declared incompetent to stand trial are facing a state problem that is causing issues in Bexar County.
Currently, there are 279 inmates in the Bexar County Jail waiting to be transferred to a state hospital to receive care and restore their skills.
